CG Check Point

I noted in the beginning I'd post checkpoints on my progress in a certain image format. This is my first checkpoint.

A New Color, A New Layer

I'm finished with my last color of the area I chose, now its time to move to the next color. This time I chose the darker color of his hair. Create a new layer for your new shade if needed and continue.

The reason I make new layers is incase I need to go back and fix something. I can always remove the layer, change the properties, etc.

Finishing

I'm done with my Re-Coloring job, so its time to Merge all the CG layers. ctrl+E will merge your selected layer with the bottom one, only merge the CG layers.

Your almost done, after you merged your CG layers, duplicate it. We're going to give it a little blur so it blends in with the image. Choose Distort > Blur > Gaussian Blur.

I wouldnt choose anything above or below .5-2.5, I chose 1 for this. Also feel free to change the layer properties to blend it in even more. I chose the property Darken for my image.

To view my image in its stages, look below. The first image is the original, the second image is the image cleaned, and the third image is my image after I finished this tutorial.
