life holds its secrets, painted in black and blue.

Is there ever a question
that asks for ever more?
a thought before an action like you thought you said before.

does a flower ever grow?
does a stem ever pain?
do tears and rain drops mix?
do pixels ever grain?

when colors mix and fade away
do dreams cross and cry?
is a heart singing or bleeding?
is there ever reason why?

when circles become squares
and stars become the sea
when secrets learn to fly, is that what came to be?

when does hopes turn to wishes
and fairy dust turn to lies?
why does roses and glitter mix?
will air return the skies?

if things are never simple, what is there to say?
how do you know what was yesterday,
before we knew today?
