I hate it when I sound corny
When I don’t know if it’s ok with you

I hate the fact that you're so young
But you act so much more mature
The fact that you are the way you are
Makes this crush unsure

I will wait for you
Whether the gap between us is through age or circumstance
I’m convinced I fell for you
With the very first glance

It may not have been obvious for me at first
But I eventually realized
And even though I’m scared, I now try to take every chance
To look you directly in the eye

I want you to notice me
I don’t want you afraid of me
The person I really am
Isn’t always displayed so clearly

I keep thinking ‘if only I had a chance’
We could really have something
But at this point I’m too afraid to risk it
Cause what we have now is better than nothing

I will wait for you
Time seems to be my only friend
I don’t want to lose you due to impatience
I don’t want this feeling with you to end.
