There are a few rules, and this page is long, however, if you're interested enough you will read it entirely. Anything done incorrectly will result in failure of your acceptance.

This will just be a small overview of what you'll get with my hosting.

• Ads: None.

• Disk Space: 200 MB

This is really good considering Geocities gives you 15MB on a free hosting plan, E-Rain is about 700MB

• Bandwidth: 10-20 GB a Month

This is just a rough estimate. I currently have 1,278GB montly bandwidth, and about 20-30GB of it gets used on average.

• Domain: http://www.yournamehere.endlessrain.org/

• Mail: Optional (aka. Rain-Mail)

If you would like an E-Mail address, I will set you up with one. It will be among the lines of username@endlessrain.org.

Please Note: Access to Rain-Mail is not public because I have yet to get a hostee who wanted a mail acct. If you should want one, I will provide the link here at E-Rain so it is accessable.

• FTP: Yes

This isnt optional, and you must already understand it. The only way to transfer your files to the website is through an FTP. I have provided a link to a decent, yet free, FTP program, and I'll also provide the information you'll need to use it.

• Case Sensitive: Yes

Case Sensitive is defined exactly how it sounds. If you signed up with the user name 'Custom', and went to log in as 'custom', it will not work correctly. Same thing applies with file names, page names, etc.

• Other: Nothing as of yet.

Things to expect..

• Directory

This just allows me the freedom to place your link under a list of 'Hostees' on my web page.

• Link to Me

My current hostees placed a link to E-Rain on their Splash Page and under their Links Out page. Thats pretty much all I expect to see.

• Not everyone is Accepted.

As mentioned below, I'm looking to host people with growing talent, or people who offer something to their visitors and/or provide high quality work. In which case, not everyone will be accepted.

However, if you are not accepted, do not take it personal. If you're not accepted it does not mean that I don't see talent in you or dislike your work. It just means I'm being highly selective. Afterall, I cannot accept everyone.

• No .ZIP Files

I accept absolutely no .ZIP files. I will only accept certain forms of images (jpg, jpeg, gif, png). If you're showing me things such as layouts, winamp skins, etc, provide a screencapture.

• 1-2 Week Wait

I'm not going to promise an immediate reply. Give me at least 1-2 weeks, if you have not heard from me by then, e-mail me again. In few cases I may respond asking for more time to process your application.

• I'm Not Particularly an Active Host

One of my last hostees was upset with me because I didn't keep in touch with her or remain active in her situation. I am not the most talkative person unless you pursue it.

If you wish for my opinion or help, ask for it. If you want to keep in contact via Messenger programs, say so. Otherwise I'll simply be your hostess, and you'll simply be my hostee.

This is stuff I'd like to see in your E-mail. Theres a small possibility I may ask further questions after receiving your application.

• User Name and Password

I need a User Name and a Password when setting up your FTP account. Just give me a User name of choice, and make up a new password. Passwords with my Plan are tricky and cannot include any form of words. Example would be A1B2C3. Passwords are also Case Sensitive, 6-8 characters long.
